First things first, I strongly believe you need to have a good handle of your financial situations before even thinking about the kind of house you want. With that being said, you need to talk to a reputable local lender that you feel comfortable with sharing your finances. I emphasize local so you can sit down face to face with whomever you choose. This is a very detailed process and it is so much easier to deal with someone in person than over the phone.
Secondly, I believe you should find a knowledgeable local Realtor to help you find your Oklahoma City Home. I know that buying a home can be a whole range of emotions. ( Believe me, been there, done that, and learned a whole lot more than I ever wanted.) The home buying process can get CRAZY at times, but that is why you need to have an expert working for you. As a buyer you usually do not pay for all the services a Realtor provides, so why not enlist a reliable and knowledge Oklahoma Realtor? Use their gas, their time, and their expertise.
